When an IFS vehicle is lifted, caster is lost (making steering vague) and positive camber is introduced (accelerating tyre wear). These fixed‑length, fixed‑position arms correct that, add caster and increase clearance for greater articulation — and guard against the alignment being knocked out by a solid off‑road hit.
