How it started
Pirate Camp Co began with James, a qualified boilermaker who has been modifying vehicles and heading bush since he was a kid. He started his apprenticeship in 2003 and finished his trade in 2006. When he bought his first 4x4 in 2011 he ran into the same problems most of us do: storage that didn't fit, wasted space, and gear that didn't do the job properly.
In 2016 he started his own fabrication business, beginning with collapsible fire pits. Two years later, around a campfire with his wife and a mate, the Pirate Camp Co name was born, and the business has grown steadily from there.
What they make
Every Pirate Camp Co product is designed vehicle by vehicle to solve a real problem on the track or at camp:
- Storage – parcel shelves, roof consoles, molle panels and pockets, canvas bags, drawer systems and cargo platforms
- Mounts and brackets – UHF, aerial, air compressor, battery and isolator, fire extinguisher, lighting and roof rack mounts
- Electrical – switch panels, wiring harnesses and Starlink mounts and accessories
- Protection and vehicle parts – underbody protection, bonnet and tailgate struts
